Terri Emanuel Honored with Women of Achievement

Terri Emanuel is 2016’s Women of Achievement award recipient. This award honors local women who made a significant difference in, or greatly enhanced, the quality of life in our community.

Co-owner of The Goldsmith, she was instrumental in establishing Windhover Center for the Arts, predecessor to Thelma Sadoff Center of the Arts. Emanuel feels strongly that the community needs an arts center for residents’ education and enjoyment, and to make Fond du Lac a better community in which to live. She and her husband, Ron, remain involved supporters of Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts.

Emanuel’s true passion is her ongoing work with Hospice Hope. She was drawn to hospice initially after being with her Grandmother during the last weeks of her life, spent in ICU. Hospice was just getting started here, and she trained as a volunteer to work one-on-one with dying people and their families. Emanuel considers it her privilege to serve in this intimate, spiritual way, saying that the experience “changes you, and touches your soul”.
